footings / basement

3" (not DEQ) costs $9.30 per cubic yard
roofing cement, and some linoleum. It is also often used in paved highway construction
as sub-base fill material because it is readily available and less expensive to excavate.
Some shale also has potential uses as lightweight aggregate.

1. Minus rock (in the picture below), is preferred when you want to pack it in
solid, like under concrete, pavers, or on top of roads.
We offer 1", 2", 3", and 6" minus rock.
1-3" costs $7.50 per cubic yard
6" costs $8.80 per cubic yard
3. Riprap (in picture below), is large mixed-size rock used for streambank reinforcement, outfalls, and lining slopes.
Riprap is graded by the largest 20%
of the rock. For example, the largest
20% of Class 100 will weigh an
average of 80-100 pounds.
